The kite project

Our approach

The shipping industry still heavily depends on fossil fuels and faces urgent environmental challenges. The Kite Project proposes a groundbreaking solution: an autonomous boat powered by a kite, tapping into wind as the primary fuel source. This innovation marks a crucial step towards a more sustainable and autonomous future for maritime transportation.

Microships

Unlike traditional cargo ships that must prioritize efficiency due to high fuel costs, our wind-powered microships leverage free wind energy, allowing us to deviate from the need for extreme efficiency. This unique advantage enables us to design smaller and cheaper ships.

Reinforcement learning

To control the kite, we are developing our own state-of-the-art reinforcement learning model, in order to make a high-power and reliable kite system.

Present status

We’re presently in the prototype development phase, working diligently to prove the feasibility of our innovative concept.
